Birdsong Trail is built to be played without any account, login, or location tracking. This policy explains what the app does — and what it does not do — with information.
What we don't collect
- We do not require an account.
- We do not request your location, contacts, photos, microphone, or any personal data.
- We do not include third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs.
- We do not transmit your gameplay or personal information to any of our servers — Birdsong Trail does not have a backend server.
What's stored on your device
- Your sanctuary, journal entries, daily-walk streak, and settings are stored locally inside the app's sandbox.
- If you choose to sign in to iCloud on your device, the same data is mirrored to your private iCloud Key-Value Store so you can move between iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. Apple controls iCloud and we do not have access to it.
Purchases
One-time in-app purchases (Birdsong Trail Pro, optional regional bird packs, optional sanctuary themes) are processed by Apple via StoreKit 2. We never see your payment details. Apple's standard purchase privacy applies.
Children
Birdsong Trail is rated 4+ and is intentionally safe for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children or anyone else.
Microphone
The app declares a microphone usage description because Apple requires one when audio frameworks are linked, but Birdsong Trail does not record or process microphone audio.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top.
