Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Spring Data UK (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use BloomLog, a garden journal app for iOS.

Summary

BloomLog stores your garden data on your device. We do not operate a user account system for the App, and we do not operate our own servers that receive your journal content. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs in the App.

Information the App processes

The App may process information you choose to enter or attach, including for example plant names, notes, journal entries, optional photos, harvest records, and related metadata (such as dates). This information is stored locally using on-device storage (SwiftData) and remains on your device unless you export it or your device backup includes app data.

No account; no cloud sync from us

BloomLog does not require you to create an account with us. We do not provide our own cloud sync service for your journal data in the App. If you use device backup (for example iCloud Backup or a computer backup), Apple or your backup provider’s terms and practices apply to that backup.

In-app purchases (Pro)

Optional Pro features are unlocked through Apple’s In-App Purchase system. We do not receive your payment card details. Apple processes payments. Apple may provide us limited purchase-related information as described in Apple’s policies. You can manage or restore purchases through the App (where available) and through your Apple ID settings.

Voice journal (Pro)

If you use Pro voice-to-text for journal entries, the App accesses the microphone and uses Apple’s Speech Recognition to turn what you say into text. Where Apple supports it for your language, the App requests on-device recognition so audio is not sent to Apple’s servers for that transcription. If on-device recognition is not available, Apple’s speech services may process audio according to Apple’s terms and privacy policy. Transcribed text is stored locally like other journal data until you delete it or remove the App. You can still type or use the system keyboard’s dictation without using this feature.

Children’s privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for the App in a way that requires parental consent under applicable law. If you believe we have received such information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
