Talk Note Privacy Policy

Talk Note is a private voice journal for iPhone and iPad. It is designed to let you record voice entries, transcribe them on device, and revisit them later with as little friction as possible.

Information Talk Note Stores

Talk Note stores the journal content you create in the app, including your audio recordings, transcripts, entry dates, favourites, tags, and local reminder settings.

How Your Information Is Used

Your information is used only to provide Talk Note features such as recording, on-device transcription, timeline browsing, search, exporting, favourites, tags, widgets, and daily reminders.

Data Storage

Talk Note is designed to store your journal data locally on your device. Talk Note does not operate a custom backend service for collecting or storing your recordings or transcripts.

Microphone Access

Talk Note requests microphone access only so you can record voice journal entries.

Speech Recognition

Talk Note requests speech recognition access so it can transcribe your journal entries and make them searchable inside the app.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, Talk Note uses local notifications on your device to remind you to record an entry. Reminder scheduling is used only for those local notifications.

Subscriptions and Purchases

If you buy Talk Note Pro, billing and subscription management are handled by Apple through your Apple Account. Talk Note uses Apple frameworks to determine whether Pro features should be unlocked. Talk Note does not collect your payment card details.

Analytics and Tracking

Talk Note does not include third-party advertising SDKs, does not track you across apps or websites for advertising, and does not sell personal information.

Sharing and Export

Talk Note only shares content outside the app when you explicitly choose to export or share an entry.

Your Choices

You can edit or delete entries directly in the app.
You can disable microphone, speech recognition, or notification access in iOS or iPadOS Settings.
You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple Account subscription settings.
