What MoodSnap stores

MoodSnap stores mood entries, optional tags, optional notes, reminder preferences, streak state, custom mood emoji choices, custom mood images, and local backup preferences.

Where data is stored

Data is stored locally on your device using Apple frameworks such as SwiftData, UserDefaults, and an App Group container used for widgets and custom mood images.

Data sharing and tracking

MoodSnap does not send your mood entries to Spring Data UK, advertisers, analytics providers, or data brokers. The app does not include advertising, analytics, crash-reporting SDKs, account sign-in, or third-party tracking tools.

Exports and backups

If you choose Export Data (CSV) or Export Full Backup, the app creates files locally on your device. Those files are only shared or saved when you choose where to send them using Apple system interfaces.

Importing a backup

If you choose Import Backup, the selected file is read locally on device and used to replace the current on-device data. Backup import does not create a server copy.

Notifications

MoodSnap requests notification permission only if you enable the daily reminder in Settings. The permission is used solely to schedule the reminder you asked for.

In-app purchase

MoodSnap offers an optional one-time Pro unlock. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple’s own payment and privacy policies.

How to delete your data
  • Delete individual entries from the Calendar screen inside the app.
  • Delete the app to remove on-device data entirely.
  • Delete any exported CSV or backup files separately from the Files app if you previously saved them.
