Privacy Policy
Effective date: March 29, 2026
Paw Clock is a pet feeding tracker made by Spring Data Limited. This policy explains what information the app uses, where that information is stored, and how you can contact us with privacy questions.
Information Paw Clock stores
The app may store the information you enter, including:
- Pet names, species, food profiles, meal schedules, dietary notes, and reminder settings
- Household and caregiver names entered in the app
- Feeding history, including timestamps and the caregiver name attached to each log entry
- Medication and supplement routines if you add them
- Optional pet profile photos you choose to attach to a pet profile
- Subscription entitlement state needed to unlock Pro features on your device
Where data is stored
Paw Clock stores app data locally on your device. The app also writes a compact widget snapshot into the app group container so Home Screen widgets can display the latest pet status.
If you turn on iCloud Sync in the app's Care Team screen, Paw Clock also stores shared pet, caregiver, feeding-log, and optional pet photo data in your iCloud account using CloudKit so invited caregivers can see the same care team on their own devices. We do not operate our own custom sync server for this feature.
Camera, photo library, and food label scans
If you choose to scan a food label, Paw Clock can use the camera or a photo you select from your photo library. The app uses on-device text recognition to suggest food details for you to review before saving. We do not upload label photos to Spring Data Limited servers.
If you add a pet profile photo and iCloud Sync is on, that profile photo may be stored in your iCloud shared Care Team so other invited caregivers can see it.
Notifications
If you grant notification permission, Paw Clock schedules local reminders for upcoming or overdue meals and care routines. Notification settings stay on your device unless Apple requires limited processing to deliver the local notification you requested.
Purchases
In-app purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. We do not receive your full payment card information. Apple may provide us with transaction status and receipt information required to unlock purchased features on your device.
What we do not do
- We do not sell pet or household data.
- We do not use third-party ad networks.
- We do not use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
- We do not upload your food label photos to our own servers.
- We do not use synced Care Team data for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Your choices
- You can edit or delete pets, feeding logs, caregivers, and care routines inside the app.
- You can turn notifications off in the app or in iOS Settings.
- You can choose not to use food label scanning.
- You can export Care Team data, disconnect iCloud sync on one device, or delete the shared iCloud copy from the Care Team screen.
For step-by-step instructions, visit the Privacy Choices page.
Children
Paw Clock is a general pet care utility and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through our own backend services because the app does not operate such a collection service at this time.
